I was raised in Pennsylvania and earned my master’s degrees at Peabody College and the University of Southern California (USC), ultimately receiving my doctorate at Vanderbilt University. Internationally, I've lived and worked in London, England; consulted to organizations headquartered in Denmark, South Korea, and Taiwan; and visited more than 100 countries around the world. As professor of management and chair of the Department of Management at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, my wife, Melissa, I live in a 110-year old craftsman in Long Beach.
