Percussion Paints Pictures

Join us for an afternoon of music, food and family fun at Cesar Chavez Park. Families can explore the world of percussion by creating their own instruments, learning about rhythm, trying out instruments of the orchestra at the Instrument Petting Zoo and participating in a percussive performance. With the help of our Long Beach Symphony Percussion Ensemble, this exciting performance invites children to use their imagination to travel to different countries. The interactive performance is dynamic, fast paced and an exciting educational experience for families. Pack a picnic to enjoy at the beautiful new amphitheater or grab a tasty treat from the food trucks. Ride your bike and check into the Pedal Movement bike valet to be entered into a free raffle to win some awesome prizes. Activities begin at 2:00 PM and the performance starts at 5:00 PM.
