It’s been a decade since the game-changing Clean Air Action Plan was implemented, with industry, labor and environmental stewards working together to produce a greener goods movement industry. This year’s Annual “Strong Ports=Strong California” Conference will focus on the trends in energy, port operations and efficiency that are disrupting historical business models and setting the course for a competitive future. Join us and learn how these changes will affect your future!

(Subject to Change)
Panel 1: Nothing Happens Without Energy
Various energy resources will be required to fuel transportation and goods movement in the future. It is critical for business and industry to avoid disruption by these emerging sources. How can we plan to avoid disruption, and will there be one, or multiple solutions to meet state regulations? And, how will the transition to other energy solutions be funded?

Panel 2: When Efficiency Leads to Increased Productivity

A multitude of pilot projects are being tested in the South Land to evaluate effects on productivity, air quality, through-put, and velocity. Are semi-autonomous vehicles really ready for deployment? Will the eHighway and catenary trucks reduce congestion, and is technology the solution to productivity?

Panel 3: Inside the Barracuda Barrel - Exploring Disruptive Technologies that are Changing our Industry

A handful of companies will be presenting their technological solutions to a panel of expert "Barracudas" who will evaluate their potential to address challenges facing the industry today. The audience will be encouraged to participate in determining their prospective outcome, versus funding needs, ability to perform, and return on investment.
