Wood Quilts & Engravings by Troy Murrah On Display October 27 - November 16, 2018 Combining inherited family skills of quilting and carpentry, Troy Murrah uses thousands of wood fragments, cut from leftover remnants, to construct elaborate wall hangings that replicate traditional quilt block patterns. Take a closer a look, and find engravings of wallpaper patterns––designed by the artist using imagery influenced by his past. What results are personal commentaries on the strength of our mothers, the ability to transform even the most humblest living conditions into a home, and remembering that chivalry is not dead.
